Rusty - May 2008 at Michelle's
Rusty became a member of the Dobbin household in the Spring of 2004. She was old and lumpy when we rescued her from the the parking lot of a local animal shelter. She was also well on her way to going blind. Rusty, despite her problems and issues was a very loving dog. Her favourite things were dog treats, her heated mattress, warm coat and exploring the backyard. She was a great dog.

Here’s Rusty – a picture of contentment. She’s fast asleep with her favourite blanket. The blanket was made at the library and was available to bid on at the Christmas party’s United Way auction. Knowing that Rusty would just love this dog blanket – complete with bone design and made with care by the library knitters! - there was no question that the blanket had to be won for Rusty (sorry Judy). Rusty spent many a day wandering around the house with her blanket draped over her to keep her old bones warm. When Rusty passed, the blanket went with her to keep her warm.

I love that picture of her…she was such a sweet dog. And although she was blind and old, she quickly made it to the kitchen whenever food was cooking
